Welcome to Peekskill High School.

May is a busy month with many activities and events scheduled.

May 2nd and May 19th are Early Dismissal Days. Students will be dismissed at 11:30 AM to allow teachers to participate in Professional Development Activities. Lunch will be available in the cafeteria from 11:30-12:15 PM.

Advanced Placement Examinations will be administered this month. The schedule is as follow:
May 5th @ 8:00 AM - US Government & Politics
May 6th @ 8:00 AM - Computer Programming
May 6th @ 8:00 AM - Spanish Language
May 6th @ 12:00 Noon - Statistics
May 7th @ 8:00 AM - Calculus
May 8th @ 8:00 AM - English Literature
May 9th @ 8:00 AM - U.S. History
May 9th @ 12:00 Noon - European History
May 12th @ 8:00 AM - Biology
May 14th @ 8:00 AM - English Language

The Peekskill High School Band and Chorus will present the Spring Concert in the high school auditorium on Wednesday, May 14th, at 7:30 PM. Come and enjoy another outstanding performance at Peekskill High School.

The third quarter Honor Roll Breakfast will be held on Thursday, May 15th, at 7:45 AM in the school auditorium. Ice Cream Socials will be held for students who passed all of their subjects during the 3rd quarter on Tuesday, May 20th (grades 9 & 11) and Wednesday, May 21st (grades 10 & 12).

The Fourth Quarter Progress Reports will be mailed on May 19th. Parents who do not receive their child's Progress Report should call the Guidance Office at 737-0201, Ext. 2.

School will be closed May 23rd and May 26th for Memorial Day. Classes resume on Tuesday, May 27th.

The National Science Honor Society Induction Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 29th, at 6:45 PM. Following the ceremony, our Annual Science Symposium will begin. Approximately 60 students will present science projects related to Chemistry and Biology. This will be an enjoyable and informative evening!

Students are encouraged to attend the after school Extended Day Program that is held daily from 2:50 PM - 3:50 PM to receive additional help/support from their teachers and to make-up missed assignments. Please call the guidance office for more information about this program.
